Barb Gardener was very good to work with. We had to change the dates after our initial booking and then we had a last minute cancellation for one member of our party. She took it all in stride and was very accommodating.

My tour planning was through Great European Travel. I often had to wait quite a while for responses to my questions. Once on the tour, my Tour Director, Driver, and Local Experts were all excellent! The locations, sites and meals were fantastic. There were a number of changes in the schedule from when I first read about the Intermezzo Tour till the final version of the tour, which made scheduling my own personal free time more difficult. At one hotel, the room for singles was tiny. And at one hotel, there was construction work in the ceiling outside my room which caused a terrible stench in my room. I had to switch rooms - it was fortunate that there was an extra room available.

Our tour director and bus driver were excellent! Giuseppe went beyond our expectations to provide us with unexpected treats like fresh strawberries, gelato, rice balls. On Pentecost Sunday many travelers would have liked to go to church but time would not allow for it. Instead Giuseppe fit in a stop to an open church along the tour route. Vincenzo, the bus driver, maneuvered our huge bus without any problem along narrow, winding roads.

The trip was very nice. Many sites were visited and our tour guide (Maria Holzmeyer) and the local specialists were all great. This trip had the best local specialists of all our Trafalgar trips.. There were the a few things that could use improvement. I got tired of the same offerings for dinner night after night. The selected hotel's air conditioning were woefully inadequate. At one dinner, the hotel staff didn't show up in numbers to serve us dinner and Maria stepped in to serve us. But all in all, a great trip.

The tour guide was great. We saw so many wonderful sites. It did go a little busy. I’m 76. And should have chosen a more slower pace tour. My travel partner had to leave because of illness. But the people on the tour helped me and took care of me. The hotels were first class.

Best vacation with Insight the tour director Peter and driver James were amazing. Courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. Always, going out of their way for the best interest of the group. The booking experience was pretty easy.i had to call back several times with questions, and each time I called the representative was very pleasant. Everything was fully explained.

We were with a great tour director and group of people. All of the sights were very interesting; there wasn't one that was a favorite. The time really went too fast; wish it could have been twice as long.
